Once acknowledged as the old people's retirement home of the south, Bournemouth has re-born itself as a happening party town. The town is now jam-packed at the weekends, with young urban things searching for a good time, and stag nights and hen do's mingle with the locals.
Daytime Activities:
Bournemouth has an extensive mix of daytime activities which make use of the sea and beach, such as sailing boats, speedboats, wakeboarding and waterskiing. For those who are extra traditional about there stag night activities, there is also paintballing, karting and some of the best quad biking in the country, covering miles of countryside tracks. Bournemouth is also in close proximity the Isle of White, and if you are looking for something that is really different, then why not hire a sailing boats boat and pop over to the white isle for a relaxing lunch and pint. Alternatively if sailing boats seems a bit sedate, you can hire some exceptionally quick speedboats which will blast you from Bournemouth the Isle of White in a little over half an hour - be warned though, this will be a bouncy ride, and you may not feel like eating when you get there - or the way back may perhaps be a little stomach churning!!
Evening Activities:
During the evening Bournemouth comes alive as locals intermingle with stag and hen do's, and the local student population. The centre of town is jam-packed with an extensive mix of exclusive bars, posh new restaurants and numerous clubs which are happy to accommodate stag and hen do's in fancy dress. The cities commercial district is fairly compact and stands just a few streets back from the main beach, making all the night scene within fairly easy walking distance. With everything so compact, your stag night will save the money for quite a few beers by not having to order taxi's to get from bar to bar - every little counts! With regard to the clubs, it is advised to book your entrance in advance - most clubs get exceptionally busy and it would put a really damper on your stag night if you couldn't get into a nightclub through a lack of forethought.
Bournemouth Accommodation:
Due to Bournemouth's resort status, it is jam-packed with an extensive mix of accommodation, from small 2/3 room hotels, to exclusive 5 star spa hotels. Bournemouth's peak season usually occurs from April till October, and prices during the peak summer months can become exceptionally expensive. For any stag night considering this location, you should also be well aware that most of the hotels will not accept stag nights, consequently if you are wanting to go in peak season, you should book your accommodation months in advance to avoid disappointment.
