From paper wallets to jewel cases CD and DVD packaging is something you should never neglect. Moreover you could always find a packaging company to work with you to create and design a new and bespoke pack to suit your brand that’s never been seen in the market place before!
Even though the role of packaging is containment, protection and safety, it is also of display and, even though a CD or a DVD can usually be a success just because of its content, CD and DVD packaging is very important as it catch the eye of the potential buyer.
Packaging has been part of human civilization for a long time. Historically, its use was restricted to being the medium for collating produce. We may assume that archaeological artefacts such as pots and jars were items of packaging designed to hold something. While the containment role of packaging has long been recognized, it is only in recent times that the promotional aspects have begun to be fully appreciated.
Packaging is a very important marketing strategy to glamorise your product in order to attract the consumer’s attention. Sometimes packaging is so important that it cost more than the product itself in order to lure the consumers to buy it.
Most consumers judge a product by its packaging before buying. So it is logical to say attractive packaging is crucial in order to get the first time buyers to buy your products. Without attractive packaging, who would buy it in order to try it? Your first step to enter the market is crushed if the packaging is ugly.
Leaders are recognizing the importance of packaging and the integrated solution much earlier in the process…packaging professionals or engineers, suppliers and designers are all involved in early consumer research.
So, CD and DVD packaging should be considered very carefully before being done.
