It will also be worth looking to see if they offer internships or training programs as these can be a great way to get your foot in the door of a company. Checking for vacancies in leading newspapers and websites will be a great way for finding work. Also another way of getting a finance job is by using an upmarket recruitment agency that will have great experience in placing you in a relevant finance job that will be suited to you.
If you get an interview with a firm, make sure you do plenty of research. Looking into who is going to interview you, any testing and responses for possible questions and company information will help you be prepared for the interview.
