Team Cincinnati, winner of the “Clash of the Choirs” television competition, stopped by Sound Images to record their now-famous a cappella version of “Flight of the Bumblebee” for the Cincinnati Regional Tourism Network. While recording the song, the crew from The PPS Group videotaped the choir to create a music video that will be used to help promote tourism in Cincinnati.
Matt Hueneman, music engineer at Sound Images was impressed with both their professionalism and their talent. “They nailed it,” Matt exclaimed after the first take. “And, they’ve got some killer voices in there.”
Team Cincinnati was well known as Team Lachey during the television show, named after their director, Cincinnati native Nick Lachey. The Team is scheduled to perform for the Reds opening game and then again for the annual Cincinnati Jazz Festival in July. When asked what they were planning to sing at the Jazz Festival, music director Kenny Smith promised, “We’re working on it.” We look forward to more surprises from this really talented ensemble.
